Hot spring Resort

Hot spring Resort Map
Hakone, an old traditional town in Kanagawa, functioned as a barrier checkpoint in the “Tokaido Road” connecting Tokyo to Kyoto back in the beginning of Edo era in the early 1700s. There are numerous hot springs in this area due to the proximity from Hakone Volcano. It takes about one hour and half by train from Tokyo.
Situated in the northeastern part of the Izu Peninsula, Atami gives you the feeling of not only an old hot spring resort but ocean resort. Just 45 min by Shinkansen from Tokyo. Atami onsen (hot spring) is regarded as one of the oldest hot springs in Japan. With its great access to Tokyo in addition to the quality of hot spring, Atami has attracted many tourists.
